- The Holt Lodge's borderlands location means we are ideally situated to explore historic Chester and the beautiful countryside, towns and coasts of North Wales. Wrexham heritage as an industrial town is well documented by attractions such as the Bersham Heritage Centre, housed in an Eighteenth Century industrial complex, and the soon to reopened Wrexham Museum.
- Families visiting the town will also enjoy Techniquest Glyndwr, the science discovery centre, with over 60 hands on exhibitions, live science shows and daring demonstrations!
- There are many tourist attractions in this part of North Wales, such as National Trust properties Erddig Hall and Chirk Castle, the UNESCO World Heritage Site the stunning Pontcysyllte aqueduct, and St Giles Church in Wrexham with it's beautiful tower- one of the Seven Wonders of Wales and the grave of Elihu Yale, benefactor of the world famous American Yale University.
- The Clwydian Range, and Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, starts a thirty minutes drive away and is a beautiful setting for walking, cycling and horse-riding.
- The Welsh coastal resorts of Prestatyn, Rhyl, Llandudno and Conwy and Colwyn Bay are all no more than 1.25 hours away by car.
